Emirates, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates on Sunday extends the suspension of flights between India and UAE till 14th June 2021. Moreover, passengers who have transited through India in the last 14 days will not be accepted to travel from any other point to the UAE. 

However, UAE Nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas, and members of diplomatic missions who comply with the revised published COVID‑19 protocols will be exempt from travel.

UAE Travel Ban

As per the official of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GCAA), “A final date about when the suspension will be lifted is under continuous assessment. We are closely monitoring the situation in India.”

Who Can Travel To UAE From India?

UAE citizens, diplomatic delegations, official delegations, and flights of businessmen are the categories that are exempted from this restriction.

Also, travelers coming from India through other countries are required to provide proof of a period of stay in those countries of no less than 14 days to be allowed to enter the UAE.

RT-PCR Test Requirement

The Dubai Health Authorities also announced that starting from 22nd April 2021, all passengers traveling from India to Dubai will be required to take a Covid – 19 RT – PCR test within 48 hours before departure and all tests must be administered by accredited laboratories that issue results carrying a QR code.
