Day 1

Airport - Negombo

At the airport you will be greeted our Representative and your Chauffer Guide who will take you to the modern beach town of Negombo. Once at the comforts of your hotel, relax and recover from any jet lag at our Premier Ayurveda centre. Our specially designed Sri Lanka honeymoon package take couples to some of the most romantic destinations in the island.
If you have spare time, your chauffeur will introduce you to some of Negombo’s curious sites such the Dutch churches, perhaps take a boat ride along the Dutch canals or laze on the golden sands.

Day 2

Negombo - Sigiriya

Set off from coastal Negombo to experience the inland delights of Sri Lanka.
Your journey will take you along a picturesque route passing rice paddy fields to the town of Kurunegala. Look out for the towering Lord Buddha statue upon a rock, which from far is the town’s landmark!
To begin, drop by the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage to get your first introduction to Sri Lanka’s most infamous inhabitants. Here you can watch these giant animals up close as they feed and bathe in the shimmering waters of the Ma Oya River. After lunch, continue to the town of Sigiriya, within the country’s rich cultural triangle. Late afternoon, mount the mesmerizing rock fortress of Sigiriya – a 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky”.

Day 3

Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya

Today learn about the better kept ruins of ancient Ceylon – the UNESCO World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa which was a medieval capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th – 13th century A.D. Take a walking tour of one of the ruins of ancient Ceylon which includes a visit to Lankathilaka, Thuparamaya, Royal Palace, Rankoth Vehera and Gal Viharaya.
On your return, take an exhilarating jeep safari with the company of an expert naturalist guide to the Minneriya or neighboring Kavdullah National Park. The Vast sanctuary is a home to about 250 wild elephants, wild buffaloes, sambar deer, crocodiles, sloth bear and more.
In the evening, perhaps you can surprise your partner with dinner atop a Tree house or alfresco dining under the rustling canopies of a secluded hill!

Day 4

Sigiriya - Kandy

Today you will arrive in the hill capital of Kandy, surrounded by greenery and the great Mahaweli River. Eminent as the center of Buddhism and the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom, the name Kandy evokes romantic notions in people of a lost hill kingdom, a lake, tea plantations and a famous temple. At your convenience, become acquainted with the city; pay your respects to the golden-roofed Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses Sri Lanka’s most sacred relic, a tooth of the Lord Buddha. Admire the delicate hill-country breezes that urge the mist to gently part revealing colorful houses amid Kandy’s forested halo, visit the lively market places and the Upper Lake drive. To step up the tempo, attend a dance performance featuring traditional dances from the different regions of Sri Lanka. Retreat to the comforts of the cozy private home in the hills; an ancestral manor house ideal for honeymooners alike!

Day 5

Kandy

Spend a lazy day at this heritage property. We suggest dipping in the pool which overlooks paddy fields. If you wish, during the day take a short drive to the lush Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya for an introduction to tropical flora or to take a short hike at the Udawatte Kele Sanctuary; a forest reserve located in the heart of the city. Perhaps you can also surprise your partner with a picnic lunch!

Day 6

Kandy - Hatton

Hop on board the morning TRAIN and journey through the Tea Carpets of Ceylon to Hatton. The slow descend through the tea fields and hill country side with its winding tracks and misty panoramas, offers an unmatched perspective and wonderful experience.
Find yourself surrounded by rolling green hills all circling the calm Castlereagh Lake. Follow the trail of four cozy colonial bungalows restored from the time of the Raj. You will be greeted by your very own personal butler who will attend to you throughout your stay as well as the executive chef with whom you can plan your dining options!

Day 7

Hatton

This morning take a guided walk through the tea plantation and follow the trail of the planters of old Ceylon with the resident tea planter looking for the best slopes on which to plant tea. Watch tea pickers in action and continue to the factory to see the processes that create world-class tea. Taste the different grades of this great brew before returning to your bungalow. You can spend your afternoon either by paddling long the Castlereagh Lake or discovering the unspoiled Bogawantalawa Valley and its’ hills with a biking experience of your own!

Day 8

Hatton - Wadduwa

One of Sri Lanka’s charms is that how in a short time you will pass from the hills to the meandering rivers, past the farms and then to the idyllic coast of Wadduwa. Here you will be staying at Reef Villa & Spa, a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Set amidst a large coconut grove with incredible views of the Indian Ocean find your find your very own suite.

Day 9

Wadduwa - Galle

On one of your leisure days, drive southward towards the Southern Coast of the island to Galle. Galle is the country’s oldest living city and is sure to capture your interest, with its historic sites and its unique fusion of European and Arabic cultural and architectural influences.
Explore the Galle Fort with its low lined streets and history behind its Rampart. The Fort remains a hive of activity and is one of the few World Heritage listed sites in which a bustling population continues to thrive. Walk through the alleys lined with stores and restaurants. After you have explored the city you could proceed to do some shopping in the very heart of Galle. You will come across shops with fine variety of gems and jewelries, antiques, art galleries and Design stores.
Retreat to your luxurious abode as you spend the rest of the day carefree. As you step out on the sands don’t be surprised if your footprints are one of the few as the beach is fairly private.

Day 10

Wadduwa

If you wish to step out, the country home of a renowned architect – Geoffrey Bawa is nearby and well worth a visit for an alfresco lunch. You could also take a serene boat ride down the beautiful Madu River, a wetland inlet spreading over 900 hectares. Journey past massive mangrove forests, glide under the canopy of the forest tunnels and take in the unique biodiversity that boasts of hundreds of birds, plants, fish and animals. For the more adventurous – the thrill of water sports on the Bentota Lagoon is a must!

Day 11

Wadduwa - Colombo Airport

As all good things must come to an end, we bid you farewell as our Chauffeur Guide transfers you to the Airport to meet your departure flight home.
